I bought the Ladies watch style SOS Talisman from a pharmacy nearby. I bought the SOS Talisman for my son, at the time he was three years old. He is anaphylactic to nuts and also has a very severe form of epilepsy. After eating a nut which he took from another child at a child care centre he had an anaphylactic reaction. Very scary! There was no way I wanted that to happen again. I looked at a number of types of information bracelets but they didn't meet the needs of my son. His anaphylaxis would stay the same but the medication he takes for his epilepsy changes regularly. The SOS Talisman is so convenient because the details can be changed so easily. My son now goes to school and respite periodically and it is necessary for all people working with him to be able to access his information quickly and easily. Thirty or more years ago I had the stainless steel one, but now due to my medication I have a sterling silver pendant (wish I'd have known about the 9ct gold one!) I bought the stainless steel bracelet online. Ever since I had a massive subarachnoid brain haemorrhage almost 4 years ago I have had seizures intermittently and always unexpectedly. I'm going to America and then Hawaii in June for a dream holiday where I will swimming a lot (hopefully with dolphins at some point!) and I thought it would be sensible to have something on my at all times just in case I had a seizure. I bought the SOS Talisman from the SOS website because I have had such a terrible reaction to diclofenic, after taking it for back pain for many years, my doctor said it was bordering on A shock syndrome, also I have a really bad reaction to Sulphemide antibiotics, I feel safer wearing the Talisman, as if anything happened where I needed pain relief or antibiotics they would know what to give, me, as next time especially with Diclofenic (volterol) it could be fatal.
I bought the stainless steel one and am very happy with it and feel so much more safe wearing it, as I have severe reactions to Diclofenic and sulphemide antibiotics. I was always worried if I had an accident, or collapsed and was taken into hospital, that they may administer a drug that I am severely allergic to! The SOS Talisman was exactly as it was shown to be on the website. I came quickly and was in good condition when it arrived. Looks as good, if not better than on the website and is a discreet design that looks like another bracelet you would chose to wear. Really like discreet style of bracelet and gives me more confidence to be able to go out with friends and to town alone knowing that should I have an allergic reaction that people would know what it was and what to do. Also if I was in an accident and needed to be admitted to hospital they would know my allergies to certain medications and food substances. With Poor Health and increasing quantities of medications I needed a quick way to inform medical staff about my health status. I was recommended by my father to get a SOS Talisman necklace, as he has one for himself. I have to take 21 pills a day for a back injury, and although I used to carry a little note book with me when I used to go out, it was starting to look a bit sorry. So I then decided to get the necklace. I ordered the necklace on the Saturday and by the Tuesday it had arrived, I was really impressed with the service from Talisman. The only problem I had was writing all my medication, and all the tablets I am allergic too, on such a tiny slip of paper, (as I have got fairly big writing), so in the end I typed it all out on my computer, then printed it out and then cut it out and folded it so it fitted in the casing. I bought the SOS Talisman for peace of mind. I take it off when I go to bed, but leave it on by bedside cabinet, so it can be seen. I really feel that if I was ever in the position, were I needed to go to hospital, the medical team would have all the information they needed about me. My parents only know some of the names of my medication, they would not be able to tell anyone the dosage, or anything I was allergic too. So I feel it has been worth EVERY penny, and I really do feel that it could SAVE my life one day!! (But I do hope I am never in that position though!!) I have and I would recommend SOS Talisman to anyone!!!!

I bought my Talisman direct from the Internet as I travel and need to inform medical staff should I fall ill when away from home about my condition and medication I take. I purchased an SOS Talisman which came with easy to understand instruction on how to fill out the required information on my medical condition.  It has a very sturdy clasp which will never "just come off".  It is completely waterproof. I also purchased the supplementary pack at the same time which is useful as being recently diagnosed with Diabetes my insulin levels are constantly changing and so I am able to update my personal information - I would recommend buying this additional product. I ordered via the internet which was simple and quick. Delivery was very prompt and I am very pleased with my purchases.

I am delighted with it. I'm amazed how all that vital health and contact information can be stored inside the silver capsule of the silver SOS Talisman pendant I bought. I looked at other Medical pendants & bracelets, but they either only allowed for a small engraving which didn't provide enough information, or required the emergency medical staff to ring a number to find out the essential details, which wouldn't be practical in an area with no access to a phone... The silver pendant has the caduceus on one side (internationally recognised by medics) and SOS on the other, so I'd feel confident about going abroad wearing this one.
I have allergies to food, drugs and preservatives. After a more severe reaction while on holiday recently, I decided that it would be wise to carry my vital health information in some form all the time. It has also given my family peace of mind! The most serious problem I have, apart from an unusual blood group and certain drug allergies, is that I react very badly to anaesthetics and whenever possible have to have an epidural or spinal. If I were unconcious after an accident abroad or in another part of the country no one would know this and if surgery needed to be performed under anaesthetic I could die. I have always worn another type of bracelet, but as more things needed to be added there just wasn't room on the back for any more engraving, so when my husband saw the poster for the SOS Talisman system he came straight home and told me to order a bracelet.

I think the quality of the bracelet is wonderful. It is something I have to wear all the time and does not look out of place with the rest of my jewellery. I purchased the SOS Talisman solid silver bracelet after I had a severe asthma attack and ended up in hospital. As a single parent of 3 young children I was very worried if I had another asthma attack whilst on my own with the children, how would I let the paramedics know what was with wrong with me and what medication I was currently on.
This is the answer to my prayers - I have contact numbers for my parents to let them know I am ill so they can come and collect the children and if I am unable to speak to the medics about my medication - all my details are there. My sister and I purchased a stainless steel SOS Talisman bracelet for our Nan for Christmas. It has the St Christopher design on the back and our Nan has wanted one for a long time as she has a long history of ill-health and many ailments at present, including diabetes. I have just purchased my 4th product from SOS Talisman, so they must be good! First was a bracelet for a daughter with allergies, second was about 5 years ago when I bought a bracelet for my youngest daughter with penicillin and other anti-biotic allergies. She was taken ill in school and by the time they had contacted me, she was in hospital and the ambulance paramedics had her full history. Brilliant!

I have just bought a bracelet which I find invaluable. I was prompted to buy it after being admitted for heart surgery in November and then having to make a trip to an a and e hospital because of an accident with a knife in my kitchen. When asked by the nurse what medication I was on (which I will be on for life) I could not answer her cos I just didnt know the names of anything I was taking. I was told I must make a note of everything and keep it with me at all times. I purchased a SOS Talisman after a lengthy search for a medical ID that really worked. I had ones that were engraved but they were ALWAYS engraved wrong and after engraved the company wouldn't return or replace it. Then when information changed I had to purchase a new one. My husband wears the Talisman bracelet and I wear the pendant. We purchased new detail slips this time as we are always having to update our details due to frequent medicine changes.
Mine was originally bought many years ago when I was taking regular antidepressants. I now wear it because I am asthmatic, and have rhesus negative blood. My husband is epileptic, has balance problems and is liable to fall and he is taking chemotherapy tablets for cancer and steroid tablets. I take strong pain killers for back pain due to 5 prolapsed discs, have a penicillin and tetanus allergy and have recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. This product makes me feel safe if i was to be in an accident and had no way of informing the emergency services of my allergies, epilepsy and medication i take. Also if i had a seizure in the street anyone can see by the sos talisman and easy way to open it what might be the problem.
