I am delighted with it. I'm amazed how all that vital health and contact information can be stored inside the silver capsule. I looked at other Medical pendants & bracelets, but they either only allowed for a small engraving which didn't provide enough information, or required the emergency medical staff to ring a number to find out the essential details, which wouldn't be practical in an area with no access to a phone... Excellent quality - I've been swimming with my Talisman and it has stayed waterproof. I have bought a stainless steel pendant (previously), stainless steel bracelet (years ago), and recently a gold plated pendant. Compared to another website (medicalert) I looked at for a Talisman, yours was a lot better. Yours was very understandable, very user friendly and gave you all the information I needed to know. You also had a lot more choice of jewellery/watch type talismans.
It is very strong and will, I am sure, come in very handy if I am on my own and I have an epileptic fit. Of course I haven't worn it for long periods of time yet, but its looks hard wearing and I think I will certainly get my money's worth out of it. The quality of the product is outstanding and is VERY robust as it does not come off whether in the bath or swimming, never leaks and the seal is still great after some 10 + (I've forgotten how long I have had it!) years from new. I brought the bracelet because I am on medication which suppresses my immune system and if I was to have an accident and needed to be operated on the chance were unless I had anti-biotics I would not heal very well, if at all. I also have Type 2 diabetes, and although not insulin controlled, I felt that any doctor or paramedic would need to know this when treating me, if I was unable to tell them. Although my husband and parents know my medical history, it doesn't mean that they will be with me if something was to happen and I needed medical help. Also in a worrying situation it is easy to forget vital information. Wearing the bracelet makes me feel safer and happier, knowing that a doctor or paramedic would be able to treat me correctly with the information that is given on the strip. I also know that they would be able to get hold of my next of kin or GP if needed.
I find the bracelet easy to wear, it is lightweight and does not get in my way. It is attractive, so can be easily worn with any outfit. The only time I take it off is to bath or shower. Although there is a watertight seal and it is stainless steel, I feel happier taking it off "just in case".

I have diabetes together with spinal stenosis and have already had a replacement hip, and as I am not that old (56) if I had an accident or some other misfortune (i.e. a hypo) I was afraid that I would not get the treatment that I needed and I feared my spine and hip would suffer from wrong handling. I have a friend who is a Paramedic and he suggested that, as I take a lot of medication and different sorts, it was advisable to have some form of a talisman so that paramedics and doctors etc could see at a glance what treatment was necessary. I purchased a silver bracelet for my son. He has many medical complications and has a severe reaction to latex. I was advised by a nurse at Gt. Ormand St. that it may be beneficial for my son to wear something that would alert people to his condition.  When he is rushed into hospital, I am always asked what his current medication is. Now I do not have to rack my brain to think of names & doses.

I have had gastric surgery (lap banding) and felt it important anyone would know how to deal with the band in an emergency. The quality is great neatly made and fits well together.
I actually like that it is easily identifiable because it might be missed if it looked like ordinary jewellery. Some others I've seen are almost disguised by beads etc and as a medical worker myself I would not look at them but the SOS talisman is clearly an alert signal and I would check any patient if they were wearing one!

The quality of the bracelet purchased is excellent. Strong ,secure and still good looking even after being on my wrist constantly for the past 5 years or more.  I have hydrocepholus , and some years ago had a relaps and was taken in to hospital. I was not in a coherent state ,and i was not at that time wearing an SOS talisman. This led the hospital staff to come to the incorrect assumption that I had taken an overdose. It's sturdy and well made. The catch is firm and I have no need to worry it will fall off my wrist, even while swimming. The engraving is very clear and makes it an attractive piece of jewellery I bought my SOS Talisman as I am disabled and take several potentially toxic medications. I have had a diagnosis of epilepsy for the last 18 years. I have partial-complex seizures with secondary generalised seizures. The generalised seizures present as most people think of epilepsy. that is to say I fall down and have a 'fit. However, the complex-partial type differ from the common perception of what epilepsy is. During this type of seizure I do not loose consciousness entirely and may act rather strangely. On many occasions this has led people to believe I am drunk of have an entirely different medical condition - most commonly a mental illness. of epilepsy. Although I have had epilepsy for this length of time I have only very recently purchased the SOS silver bracelet. Even then this was with reluctance. The reason for which was that essentially I had been 'instructed' to wear one by my employer.
HOWEVER, even though this purchase was made with an initial reluctance I am NOW SO PLEASED I made the purchase. I have realised that I now have the security of knowing people have access to vital information in the event that I do have a seizure.
It's purchase has made me face up to my condition - who would have thought the wearing of a bracelet could do this? More over it's purchase has also made my friends and family feel more secure. I also find that it is aesthetically pleasing and personally I think looks rather nice on me! What more could I want? My brother has the same allergies as myself and we were both recommended to wear them by the Ear Nose & Throat clinic in London.

I personally wore my first pendant as a BSAC diver before my medical condition was determined and would recommend any person partaking in any form of potentially dangerous activity to wear one, relative to medical conditions or not as the case may be.

I have an allergic reaction to Penicillin which sends me into Anaphylactic shock if I just have a very small amount. (I once did up a bottle of Amoxicillin and had a bit from the lid on my finger and licked it off without thinking and went into shock almost immediately.
