I
bought the sos,
St
Christopher pendant, as a
present for my father who has
Alzheimer's disease.
I was
prompted to do this following an
incident at work,
I am a
nurse, where a lady was admitted
very confused and unable to give
details of her next of kin.
it was very fortunate
both for ourselves and the
patient and her family that she
was wearing an sos talisman.
this simple piece of jewellery
quickly reunited the patient and
her family, and reduced added
distress to the patient.
It is
indispensible in a situation
where you are unable to give a
medical history saving valuable
time in an emergency situation.
The
product makes us as a family
more secure in the knowledge
that in the unfortunate event of
dad needing medical assistance
and being alone, the
talisman alerts people to his
condition and gives contact
details for us. it is our extra
little safety net for
Dad,
thankyou Karen

I
had seen the necklace Talisman
on a friend many years ago and
was impressed with the idea. In
February 2000 i had quite a
severe heart attack - from which
i made a full recovery - but
felt that because of my
condition at the time, along
with the medication that i have
been prescribed and
because i travel a fair bit, the
relevance and
freedom of mind that carrying my
personal medical
details on my person came to the
fore. Knowing that the talisman
is recognised world wide it was
my obvious choice and was
pleased to find the bracelet,
particularly as I prefer not to
wear jewellery around my neck,
it is with me 24hours a day. H

My
husband bought my talisman over
30 years ago with a steel chain
as i am allergic to knickel. I
am still wearing same chain &
talisman, it has never been off
my kneck since getting it. I am
allergic to pennicillen that is
why i got one since then i am
diabetic & now found out i have
angina so all that information
is useful if anything happens. I
have only changed the strips to
keep it updated of illnesses &
new address when moved house. It
is recognised all over the world
all your information is at hand.

Everyone who knows me know why I
wear it & what it is for. I told
people what it was & the people
I spend time with how to open it
so they can show whoever needs
to see it if needs must.
I am allergic to stings & bites
so as you can imagine for me it
a common occurrence to visit my
local casualty unit. That is
great as they all know me now &
understand what is wrong & what
they need to do straight away.
However, if it happens when i'm
not on the Island then this
would cause a problem as I can't
tell them due to anaphylaxis.
This means my throat swells & I
can't breath properly. I carry
at all times 3 Epipens which I
need injecting as soon as the
sting or bite happens, but,
whereas I cant talk the SOS
Talisman is BRILLIANT it has the
information they need about me,
but I have put a quick easy step
description of how to inject me.
Plus I have put the meds which I
am given when I go to my local
A&E.
Also as my mother lives in Spain
I spend loads of time there, so
I have one of the information
strips in Spanish for when I'm
there.

Everyone seems to notice
my SOS
Talisman unless I have it
below my shirt wearing a fancy
necklace on top of my shirt. All
my family and friends and some
work colleagues
know about it.
I suffer from
mild Asthma but I become
wheezey with Tietze's Syndrome.
(also known as costochondral
junction syndrome, tietze's
syndrome, tietze's disease
(disorder), costochondral joint
syndrome, tietze's disease,
slipping rib syndrome).
I am sure that it is almost an
every day expectancy to look out
for someone's SOS Talisman as it
seems a large percentage of
today's population is at least
asthmatic or has some other
medical condition. My son
has
just hay
fever but he can take a
reaction very severely.
I feel that walking around in
cities there are people you
shall never know but if you have
an accident there is generally
always a friend. Having met an
ambulance crew I understand
their side to why an SOS could
even help me. My husband wanted
me to have one but I felt my
condition was minor. I am
comfortable in wearing it
and I am trying to save
up for a 9ct gold SOS Talisman,
but this is a bit too expensive
for me. L Wilson, Swindon

I
bought the Talisman pendant as I
have Factor V (high risk of
developing a blood clot). I
discovered this when I had a DVT
three years ago. I also suffer
from bronchial asthma.
As we were travelling to Berlin
I wanted to be reassured that in
the event of an accident I would
be given the appropriate
treatment.

My
Wife purchased my pendant for
me, as
being recently diagnosed as
diabetic
and also having to take
warfarin,
thought it would be the
best way of alerting people to
my condition if there was no
body with me if i had an
accident or became unwell.
As the pendant has a
recognised logo that is known
world wide, I
thought it was ideal for
holidays abroad.
Personally i feel that
now i have the pendant to
wear,
if i ever was taken ill or had
an accident,
wearing
the pendant would immediately
alert people to my condition and
make them aware of what might
have caused what was wrong with
me and what treatment i might
need.
In short i feel safe.

I
wasn't aware that I had any allergies
but in November 2007 I was
admitted to hospital for routine
toe surgery. During the
operation I suffered
anaphylactic shock to the
anaesthetic and almost died in
the operating theatre. I was
allergic to one of the drugs
which was given in the
anaesthetic cocktail. I now wear
my Talisman which has the
details of the drug I am
allergic to and would be a
life-saver for me literally,
especially if I was unconscious
and unable to inform medical
personnel. P. Mitchell,

I
purchased a stainless steel
bracelet for my wife because she
has quite a complicated medical
history.
the recent additional diagnosis
of Addison's disease meant that
she is now on steroids and along
with all her other daily
medication the likelihood of any
emergency staff fully
understanding her regime is
remote.
the wearing of the bracelet has
made both of us easier in our
minds that the info is readily
available without us worrying
that the information she carries
in her handbag could be missed
or the bag go missing/lost
should an accident occur.
we consider it a vital item and
only wish we knew about it years
ago.
This
is a wonderful product backed by
a well run and informative web
site by dedicated caring people.
we cant thank you enough for the
peace of mind you have given
both of us.Many
Thanks

I
bought my talisman because I
have been diagnosed with a rare
condition and need to take
several medicines including a
very high dosage of steroids,
which if not maintained could
cause me very serious problems,
some of which could be
life-threatening. The bracelet
gives me the confidence that
should I be involved in and
accident, for example, or be
taken ill in some other way, the
medics can see immediately that
I have a need for continued
medication. Mrs S Appleton,

With my son about to travel the
world with severe epilepsy it
was great for both he, I and the
family to know that even if he
was alsone his ilness could be
easily identified (not an
overdoesed drug addict) and the
appropriate medication
identified to stop an attack -
diazepam.
the talsiman also acts as a
confirmation that the medication
he is carrying is prescription
and for his own use.
