 It is a smart piece of modern male jewellery, with a definite purpose. If you befall an accident or are found unconscious, it provides medical teams, and in fact anyone with knowledge of the system, instant info about you, and your medical condition. In fact it could well save your life in certain circumstances.
I bought it, originally because of pressure from family members, but because I liked the look of it, and the sheer practicality of it. I have a heart condition (AF) for which I take beta blockers, and consequently I take warfarin to keep my blood 'thin' enough to prevent me from having a stroke. My brother bought me an SOS Talisman bracelet for Christmas. I had been trying for a long time to find one but the chemists and even the hospital in Bedford either had never heard of them or hadn't got any.
